Wuthering Waves 3.7: Hsin now or Suoming on 22 October

Wuthering Waves 3.7, "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination," is already live. It started on 30 September 2026 and is scheduled through 11 November. Today is 5 October, so phase one is still open: Hsin, a five-star Electro rectifier, is on the banner. Phase two opens on 22 October with Suoming, an Electro sword, plus reruns of Lucilla and Lynae. The story moves Chapter IV, Act IV, "Simulacrum of the Heart," and opens the Simulacrum Nexus in Mengzhou. On 22 October the Gifts of Singing Drizzle login also starts, for 10 Radiant Tide in total.

A preview makes it sound like you must clear the new zone, pull both characters, and finish every event. On a phone that breaks on waveplates and heat. 3.7 is not "do everything." It is a patch where 22 October matters more than any tier list.

Where you actually stand

Phase one runs until 22 October. That is a bit more than two weeks from today. Hsin is available now. Suoming is not. His banner is not even open. Every pull you spend on "maybe" shrinks the stash for a character you have not tried yet.

I would do three things in early October before opening the convene screen.

Play the story act until the teleports in the new zone exist. Without them, farming becomes a jog across empty Mengzhou, and the phone client is already heavy. Percent exploration can wait for weeks when events are not on fire.

Spend one evening on Hsin's trial. Not on a guide. On your own thumbs: can you hit the damage window, or does the kit want animations that smear at 30 fps? A rectifier that looks great in a trailer is often awkward under a thumb.

Write down how many pulls and whether you have a guarantee. Not "kind of a lot." A number. Soft pity did not vanish, and "one more ten-pull" is still not a plan.

The phone in Mengzhou

The new simulacrum area is denser than the old plains. If the case warms up during a story line, drop crowd, shadows, and frame rate to a stable 30. In a Kuro action game, a missed dodge because the phone throttled is worse than a soft picture. Keep the audio. A lot of attack timing is easier to hear once frames are already dropping.

Close screen recording and extra clients before a session. This is not the patch where another gacha can sit in the background and both stay alive. Check free space after the update. Kuro unpacks like it wants a spare room, and the storage error usually appears after you have already pressed start on the quest.

If you play in short trips, do not start a story act at 15 percent battery. A cutscene plus a new region eats charge faster than dailies at a teleport.

Hsin now, or Suoming on 22 October

This is the one choice of the month you cannot postpone until the last night of phase one.

Pull Hsin in the first half if:

• you need Electro damage now, not after the 22nd;
• the rotation makes sense on your thumb, not only in the video;
• the stash can fund a real attempt, not 15 pulls "for luck."

Wait for Suoming if:

• Electro is already covered by someone you are not embarrassed to field;
• you want a sword rather than a rectifier, because that is what your phone hand actually likes;
• the stash is thin and phase two matters more, because Lucilla and Lynae come back with it. Sometimes a rerun you needed beats a debut you saw once in a preview.

Do not split the stash in half. Phase one ends 22 October. Phase two ends 11 November. Two unfinished banners at the end of the version means zero new characters and an empty box before the next patch. One finished banner means a character.

I would not touch a signature weapon until the resonator exists and you have a separate stash you can miss with. October currency is still needed for tuners, solvent, and bosses. An empty weapon shelf does not speed that up.

What to do before 22 October, in days

5 to 12 October. Story and teleports. Dailies on the old team, without a heroic Hsin build if you have not pulled him. Clear solo events you can finish in an evening. Park anything that demands a specific resonator. That demand might be the reason you pull or the reason you do not.

13 to 21 October. Last week of phase one. Decide here. If the trial felt good and the stash is real, pull to a result or to a stop you wrote down in advance. The stop looks like this: "if it does not drop in N pulls and I had no guarantee, I stop and keep the rest for the 22nd." Without a written stop, people empty the second half on the night the banner changes.

From 22 October. Try Suoming before you get excited about the reruns. The same day, Gifts of Singing Drizzle starts: logins are set to give 10 Radiant Tide total, plus tuners and solvent. That is not a reason to pull blind. It is a reason to log in and not skip mail. Ten pulls are a nice extra. They are not half a banner.

Until 11 November. Finish the one you chose. Do not start the second on leftovers if the leftover is smaller than a real attempt. Carrying currency into the next version beats zeroing out on a last ten-pull.

Waveplates

A day's regen is not enough to dress a new character from zero over a weekend. I split the day like this.

Before the banner is chosen: weekly boss and materials for the people who already clear content. Run the new area for chests if you want, not to burn the whole bar on an echo with a junk main stat on night one.

After the drop: one route. Level, then the skill tree to a usable line, then echoes. Echoes in WuWa can eat a week and still miss the main stat. A character with raised skills and an average echo kills the event. A level-1 skill in a "perfect" echo does not.

Do not feed Hsin and also hoard a full Suoming kit before Suoming has dropped. The warehouse fills up and you are still playing the old team. Materials for someone you do not own are not progress.

Events that are actually worth the time

Moonlit Path and its rings pay milestone rewards in 3.7. Push them while the version is alive, because after 11 November that shop does not reopen "for one more day." Do not put them above the story if you cannot reach the event without the story. Zone key first, shop second.

Gifts of Singing Drizzle from 22 October is the laziest event of the month, which makes it the best one for a phone. Log in, claim, leave. Skipping a day here is dumber than skipping a hard combat event. Combat can be finished on Sunday. A login day cannot.

The main-quest replay in the journey log is for when you lost the plot, not for emergency currency. On a phone, replaying cutscenes is a luxury while the battery is already going to the new region.

Preview-stream codes for 3.7 died before the patch launched. Do not type packs of "working 3.7 codes" from random sites in October. Check permanent codes with Kuro, not in a comment section. One bad code does not break the account. The habit of typing everything you see is the risk.

If the stash is empty

Play the patch as a single-player story with dailies. Hsin and Suoming are not a door lock. Version content clears on the old team, slower and angrier. That is a fair price. A bad price is spending on "one ten-pull" that does not change the result and only stings.

A battle pass makes sense only if you already log in every day through 11 November and will actually claim the levels. Buying it on 5 October and vanishing for two weeks is a common story, and it does not pay.

If the account is new

3.7 is a loud front door. New zone, two debuts, reruns. Do not try to learn the Mengzhou meta on day one. Finish the tutorial, build one resonator you can hit with, then look at the banner. Starter pulls burned on install night do not come back when, on 22 October, you realize you wanted the sword.

Separate dodge and burst in the controls immediately. On a phone, half of WuWa deaths are a thumb hitting the wrong button inside a pile of effects. Graphics settings are secondary until you stop cancelling your own dodge.

What a good October looks like

By 11 November you have one new resonator, not two almosts. The story act is done, the new teleports are up, and the login from 22 October was not skipped in clumps. Echoes are not perfect. Skills are not sitting at one. There is still something in the box for the next patch.

If both banners passed you by and the box is intact, that October also worked. In Wuthering Waves people regret a pull on phase-change night more often than a character they skipped on purpose.
